Henkel Showcases Advanced Additive Manufacturing Materials at Formnext 2024

November 6, 2024

Henkel is set to introduce its latest innovations in 3D printing materials at Formnext 2024 in Frankfurt, Germany. With a focus on industrial and medical applications, Henkel will showcase a high-performance resin alongside a new addition to its medical material portfolio. These new materials are designed to meet the evolving demands of additive manufacturing, supporting advancements in rapid prototyping and large-scale production.

Expanding Possibilities for Industrial and Medical Applications

As industries push the boundaries of additive manufacturing, Henkel continues to deliver materials engineered for safety, durability, and high performance. This year’s highlights include two new products within the Loctite 3D portfolio: Loctite 3D IND6845 for industrial applications and Loctite 3D MED3394 for the medical sector. Each material offers unique benefits, particularly when used with Carbon3D printers, where their properties align with the precise, high-quality demands of isotropic printing.

Loctite 3D IND6845 – Built for Industrial Strength and Safety

Loctite 3D IND6845 is specifically optimized for industrial applications, offering compatibility across multiple wavelengths, including 385nm and 405nm systems. Its TPO-free formulation enhances safety while delivering a balance of toughness and heat deflection (HDT), making it ideal for manufacturers looking for high-performance, production-ready materials.

Loctite 3D MED3394 – Reliable and Biocompatible for Medical Use

Engineered to endure various sterilization methods without compromising functionality, Loctite 3D MED3394 meets stringent ISO biocompatibility standards (10993-5, -10, -11, -23) and USP Class VI certification. With outstanding chemical resistance and accuracy, this resin is a strong choice for medical applications, providing the reliability needed for complex healthcare solutions.

Quote from Henkel’s Leadership

“As we continue to expand our portfolio of 3D printing materials, our goal remains the same – to offer reliable, high-performance solutions tailored to the needs of our customers,” said Dr. Daniel Adams, Vice President at Henkel Loctite 3D Printing. “We are excited to present our latest advancements at Formnext and look forward to engaging with industry professionals.”

Henkel’s booth (11.1 E29) at Formnext Mesago Messe will be open for attendees from November 19 to 22, where their experts will present these innovative materials. These materials are particularly well-suited for 3D printing on Carbon3D printers, making them an excellent choice for companies seeking durable and functional end-use parts.
