Graphics card manufacturer Palit has announced Pandora, a compact AI computing device built on Nvidia’s Jetson Orin NX Super platform. The mini PC-style device measures 121mm x 145mm x 66mm and weighs 470g, making it notably portable for edge AI applications.
The device comes in two configurations featuring either 8GB or 16GB of RAM, delivering 117 and 157 AI TOPS respectively. Each unit includes a 128GB SSD and runs Ubuntu Linux with JetPack SDK 6.1.1, supported by an active cooling system for sustained performance.
Connectivity options include two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C/OTC port, and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports. The device also features dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and an HDMI 2.0 output, along with audio connectivity through both 3.5mm jack and pin header options.
Pandora supports expandability through M.2 slots for additional SSDs, wireless connectivity modules, and 5G/LTE capabilities. A notable design feature allows for 3D-printed case modifications, providing flexibility for developers requiring custom hardware configurations.
The device is positioned for various AI applications, including retail analytics, educational tools, and robotics development. It supports Nvidia Isaac and ROS2 platforms for robotics applications and can handle AI tasks such as natural language processing. Palit has not yet announced pricing or availability details for the Pandora system.
